New Proton Experimental Update Fixes Recent Crimson Desert Issues

A new Proton Experimental update went out today that fixes Crimson Desert not being playable on Steam Deck after the most recent update.

Crimson Desert Proton Experimental

A small new Proton Experimental update was pushed out with a new playable game and a fix for one not being playable. Plain Sight can now be played, while Crimson Desert should now be playable again after the most recent update broke compatibility.

The new update should automatically download if you already have the experimental layer. If not, just search for Proton Experimental in the Steam store on your Steam Deck and download.

  • Now playable: Plain Sight.
  • Fixed Crimson Desert not being playable after a recent game update.

    Dont care what they say, Crimson Desert is not “playable” on Steam Deck. You can boot it up, sure, but it is far from being actually playable.
