Armored Core 6 Drops Launch Trailer Ahead of Release

Ahead of release, Armored Core 6 has gotten a brand new launch trailer to get us all ready to suit up.

Have your mech suits ready because Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is coming out soon! To celebrate, Bandai Namco has dropped a brand new launch trailer to go along with the release on August 25th.

Armored Core 6 occurs on the planet Rubicon 3, where an energy source, Coral, resides. Half a century after it caused a gigantic catastrophe that engulfed the planet and surrounding stars, the substance has resurfaced, and now corporations and resistance groups are fighting for control. Now, you will customize your mech suit with weapons and armor and hop into fast-paced, omni-directional battles.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is available to pre-order on Steam for $60.

I also took a little time to evaluate how the game will run on the Steam Deck. I believe it will run well at 30 FPS, though it may need some tweaks, and 40 FPS could be a possibility with low settings and a resolution downgrade.

FightinCowboy got his hands on playing AC6 early on the Steam Deck, and here’s some words of his from the Armored Core Discord:

“I don’t know who they brought in but it puts Elden Rings optimization to shame”

He was asked if it ran as well as Sekiro, and responded with
“Better imo, more consistent frames. On steam deck I’m averaging 50 FPS with graphics on high”

This leads me to believe that making a 40FPS preset for AC6 will definitely be possible, which puts the Steam Deck well ahead of the PS4 version.
