Today has been a VERY busy day. Valve has released a new Steam Deck Client Beta that fixes some Steam Input issues, as well as replacing the Big Picture configurator when in Desktop mode on the Deck:
General
- Fixed scrolling on home recommended screen due to discovery queue
- Fixed issue where What’s New section was not populated properly
Steam Input
- Replaced the Big Picture configurator in desktop mode with a windowed view of the new Configurator. This currently only applies to desktop mode on Steam Deck.
- Improve styling of command names
- Fix bug w/ renaming “Move By Amount” mouse bindings
- Fix action set layers not carrying through Gamepad triggers outputs from button bindings
It looks like that move to start replacing Big Picture mode with the Steam Deck’s game mode interface is starting to commence! You can view this changelog over on Steam.
